San Francisco Wedding Photography at Sutro Baths by Love Knot Photography

You’re looking for more than photography.

You’re inviting someone into one of the most meaningful days of your life. That thought has never been lost on me. I’ve photographed weddings for over fifteen years, and even now, before every wedding, I have the same quiet feeling driving to the venue: “Someone trusted me with their memories today.” That never gets old. It also means I take this work personally.

Hi, I’m Isaac.

I’m very good at noticing things. I see the way your grandmother reaches for your hand before the ceremony starts. The way your fiancé takes one deep breath before seeing you. The flower girl who’s dramatically overcommitted to her role. The best man who swore he wouldn’t cry… a tear is now forming. Those moments disappear in seconds. Photographs let them stay. I’ve always believed the best wedding photography isn’t about creating moments. It’s about recognizing them. That’s become my job.
I Didn’t Become a Photographer Because Cameras Are Cool.

I became a photographer because I love creating visual stories. Long before I photographed weddings professionally, I found myself paying attention to the little interactions most people never notice. The anticipation before a moment reveals itself. The way your parents look at you. When an accident creates something unexpectedly beautiful. Photography gave me a reason to notice those things. Weddings turned out to be the perfect place for someone like me. Every wedding contains hundreds of tiny stories happening all the time. Joy. Focus. Friendship. Family. Celebration. The thing I love most, is preserving your stories so you can enjoy them.

Fifteen Years Changes You.

When you’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, something interesting happens. You stop chasing perfect photographs. You start creating space for real ones. I’ve learned when to offer direction and when to disappear. When to crack a joke and when to quietly step back. The technical side becomes automatic. The human side becomes everything.
My Style Isn’t Really About Style.

People often describe my work as timeless. Natural. Elegant. True-to-life. I appreciate those words. But it’s difficult to describe a photo because they mean different things to everyone. My process is simple. Beautiful light. Thoughtful composition. Calm direction. Patience. Curiosity. Experience. When those things come together… in my eyes, the photographs have a wonderful feeling. Twenty years from now, I don’t want your wedding photographs to remind you what editing style happened to be popular. I want them to remind you exactly how it felt to marry your favorite person.

My Superpower Isn’t My Camera.

It’s making people forget there’s one in front of them. Almost every couple tells me, “We’re awkward.” Perfect. Almost everyone thinks they are. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to memorize anything. You don’t need to worry about where your hands go. I’ll make sure you look great and we get lots of variety so you have lots of options when you go through your gallery. I have lots of creative ideas and it’s my job to help discover the tone you’ll love most. I give simple direction and at times, step back before it starts feeling like a photoshoot. At times, you’ll be able to stop thinking about the camera altogether. That’s usually when my favorite photographs happen.
I Care About Your Wedding Day More Than Your Gallery.

That might sound strange coming from a photographer. But it’s true. The best photographs are usually a side effect of having an amazing experience. If you’re relaxed… your photographs feel relaxed. If you’re present… your photographs feel alive. So my job begins long before I pick up a camera. I’ll help you build a timeline that actually works. I’ll help protect quiet moments together. I’ll help you avoid unnecessary stress. I’ll answer questions you didn’t even know to ask. Because taking care of your experience is one of the most important things I can do. And… that’s also how the best photographs happen.

Everything You Want. Nothing You Don’t.

I’ve never loved complicated pricing. Most wedding photographers somehow end up with six collections that all look almost identical. Silver. Gold. Diamond. Platinum. Ultra Platinum Deluxe. No thanks. After photographing weddings for more than fifteen years, I’ve realized something surprisingly simple. Most couples want exactly the same things. They want someone they trust. Beautiful photographs. Enough coverage so the day never feels rushed. Someone calm. Someone experienced. Someone who quietly solves problems before they become problems. That’s exactly what I’ve built.

And here’s something you’ll never see written into an agreement. If dinner runs a little late… If sunset suddenly becomes magical… If your grandmother asks for one more family portrait… I’m not staring at my watch. I’ve stayed late at more weddings than I can count. Because I’d rather make one more meaningful photograph than leave wondering what I missed.

No Travel Fees Anywhere in California.

Whether you’re getting married in San Francisco… Napa. Yosemite. Big Sur. Lake Tahoe. Santa Barbara. Palm Springs. Or anywhere in between… There are no travel fees anywhere in California. Your wedding should be about celebrating, not calculating mileage.
Every Wedding Is Different.

Not every celebration fits neatly inside one collection. Maybe you’re planning an intimate City Hall ceremony. Maybe it’s twenty people in a beautiful garden. Maybe it’s a three or five day celebration with welcome dinners, rehearsal events, and brunches. Wonderful. We’ll build exactly what you need. I regularly photograph: Elopements, City Hall Weddings, Micro Weddings, Traditional Weddings, Multi-Day Celebrations, Destination Weddings. If you have an unusual idea… those tend to become my favorite weddings.

Do you want video too?

Photography has always been my first love. If I had to choose one thing to create forever… it would be photographs. But my background extends well beyond weddings. I’ve directed music videos that aired on MTV. I’ve created work for artists and public figures including Snoop Dogg, Tyra Banks, Rick Rubin, Erykah Badu, and many others. Those experiences taught me how to tell stories with movement, music, pacing, and emotion. Today, that experience allows me to offer something relatively uncommon. Photography and video created together under one artistic vision. Many photographers can recommend a videographer. Some photographers offer both. Very few have spent years professionally creating work in both mediums. When we create photographs and video together, they don’t compete with one another. They complement each other. Every creative decision comes from the same vision.

More Than Anything…

I want this process to feel simple. No pressure. No confusing upgrades or extra charges. No wondering whether you’re choosing the “right package.” Just tell me about your wedding. We’ll figure out what makes the most sense together. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony with your closest family… or a celebration with hundreds of people… my goal never changes. To create photographs that become a beautiful representation of who you are and where you’re going together.
